Hi! I’m Denise Mallabo.

I’m a writer and a mum to my dog Noodle. I also love to travel and I go to the beach as often as I can.

I’ve worked in the publishing industry for more than a decade. I started out as an Editorial Assistant for PULP Magazine and MTV Ink for four years, then again as an EA for two years for BURN Magazine under Hinge Inquirer Publications. After being an Editorial Assistant for six years, I was given a chance to prove myself even further in the publishing game as Managing Editor for UNO Magazine where I stayed for three years, then two years as Managing Editor in the Creative Solutions Department for Summit Media, and three years for STATUS Magazine. As you can see, I have a knack for this gig but now, I would love to be able to write for different companies, brands, people, and titles, that is why I’ve decided to try doing freelance writing. I enjoy writing about people, music, travel, food, and entertainment (i.e. TV and movies).

I also have a bit of experience in event organizing from the gigs and concerts that I’ve helped mount back when I was still working for PULP and BURN Magazine.

In my free time, I play the guitar, watch TV series, and cook (I would love to have my own karinderia someday!).
