Singapore is one of the places that I love visiting over and over, so when the opportunity came to do so last year, I went. I stayed there for five nights; ate and walked around. Here are a few photos that I took from that trip.

Comfort is key. I travel wearing really comfortable clothes. I decided to wear my Air Max because it’s the most comfy footwear that I have to date, a tank top, and my Uniqlo culottes.

Manila is overpopulated

The obligatory cloud shots

My lunch on the plane. My airline going to and leaving Singapore was PAL instead of the usual Cebu Pacific. I liked it very much.

Arrived around 7PM at Singapore.

Stayed at my friends’ Ina and Kokog place at Rivervalle. Here they are with their sons Sebastian and Joaquin

My first meal in Singapore. We had dinner at Chomp Chomp Food Center, it’s a hawker which is a short drive near my friends’ place. We had oyster omelette, chicken wings, some shells, and grilled vegetables and mushrooms.

We also had Hokkien Mee

Joaquin and Sebo. They were really small when I saw them a few years ago. Now, they’re toddlers playing and annoying each other just like normal brothers. Hehehe.

First breakfast at Kopitiam in Rivervale. I like ordering breakfast at an Econo Bee Hon. It’s one of their stalls that you can order pancit with several viands. It’s cheap and very good.

At the Outram station meeting my friend Curtis

Had lunch at Lau Pa Sat. It’s really not the same as it used to be. But it was still an experience being able to visit it again.

I had Char Siew for lunch

At One Raffles Place posing Tan Wee Lit’s “All the Essentially Essential” installation.

It’s an interactive piece representing essentials for work and play by an average Singaporean.

Massive buildings at the One Raffles Place but surrounded by greens and lack of pollution.

Panoramic view from the Boat Quay

The Esplanade, Cavenagh Bridge, and The Fullerton Hotel

My reflection taken on the installation “24 Hours in Singapore” by Baet Yeok Kuan on the lawn of the Asian Civilizations Museum. That’s Curtis right there.

Got hungry from walking so I bought an ice cream sandwich from an uncle selling near the Asian Civilizations Museum

The Fullerton Hotel. According to my friend Curtis this was where the cast of the Crazy Rich Asians stayed when they were shooting in Singapore

Another Bee Hun breakfast

Kopi C

My friends took me to Por Kee Eating House for lunch. The food we ordered were really delicious. It’s probably one of my favorite restaurants in Singapore. We ordered this gelatinous mixed vegetables with tofu and mushrooms

Fried cereal prawns

BBQ Ribs

So delicious!

After lunch, we had coffee and pastries at Tiong Bahru Bakery

Kouign-amann

We had artisan ice cream at The Makers Market

Hello again, National Stadium. This was where I watched U2 for the first time. Read and check out my photos of the concert here

Bono and the gang

Joaquin and Sebo talking to their mom

I had prata, curry, and calamansi juice at Thohirah Restaurant

My friend Ina had Maggigoreng

Met up with my friend Marion for lunch the next day

Had Chicken Rice at the West Coast Market

Also tried Curry rice for the first time

After lunch, I went to Haw Par Villa, it’s a theme park located near the Pasir Panjang MRT.

It’s a really eerie theme park with statues and dioramas of Chinese mythology and folklore. It has these kind of figures that will haunt you in your dreams haha.

Also met with my friends from Laguna at Bugis Junction

Had this soft serve ice cream from Godiva, pretty expensive and it’s nothing really special in my opinion

with the Pingols: Expectation Vs…

Reality hehehe

On my way back to Rivervale. Found out that my flight the next day got moved the day after so I had free time to insert a bit of work

Ate my first nasi lemak at Crave
