EarthMix Fan Meeting in Manila 2023

I’d already been to two fan conventions, and to be honest, this third one was one of the most anticipated. Actors Earth Pirapat and Mix Sahaphap have been in my radar for quiet some time now. After seeing them in A Tale of Thousand Stars, I continued to watch every series in which they appeared together. So, after only a few months of adding them on my list of Thai actors to watch, I was ecstatic when Neuwave Events and Production announced that they will be bringing EarthMix to Manila for their first ever Philippine fan meeting.

In comparison to the first two fan meetups I attended, EarthMix’s was set for 7pm, so I arrived at SM North EDSA Skydome a little later than usual. The process of getting inside the theater was a little confusing, but because it was reserved seating, I didn’t worry about not getting a decent spot. When the lights at the venue were turned off and the intro VCR was played, we all knew the event was about to begin, but we were all caught off-guard when EarthMix chose to come from the back of the venue rather than near the stage. Everyone was already going mental at that point, including me, of course. The evening was moderated by entertainment journalist MJ Felipe, who did an excellent job of hyping the audience and asking EarthMix some questions. I only wish they had gotten a better translator since, in comparison to the first two fan meetups I’ve attended, I believe the translator they had was better. I enjoyed EarthMix’s stage activities, especially the one where they had to reenact scenes from A Tale of Thousand Stars and Moonlight Chicken but in reversed roles.

The fan meet was a little short, leaving me wanting more, but I was still very delighted to finally see Earth and Mix in person that night. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best spot in the group shot with them, but the idea of spending time with Earth and Mix with my fellow Filipino fans was more than enough.
