The announcement, made during a live broadcast on the global superfan platform Weverse yesterday, marks the group’s first joint livestream since all seven members completed their mandatory military service.

The news has ignited immense excitement worldwide, as fans eagerly await the next chapter for the beloved group. During the 30-minute livestream, which garnered over 7.3 million real-time views, BTS shared their plans to reconnect with ARMY through a new album and extensive tour.
New Music & Album Details
Beginning this month, all seven members of BTS will travel to the United States to commence work on their new album. “We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year,” the members shared, adding, “Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started”. The release is slated for spring of 2026.
Upcoming World Tour
In addition to the new album, BTS is set to embark on a massive world tour in 2026. This will be their first world tour in approximately four years, following the conclusion of their “BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE” tour in 2022, which drew over 4 million attendees and viewers. “We’re also planning a world tour alongside the new album. We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are,” the group stated.
Recent Activities & Future Plans
The livestream also included updates on individual member activities for the latter half of 2025. The members reflected on the successful Korean leg of Jin’s solo tour, ‘#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR,’ held in Goyang, Korea on June 28–29.

Fans praised Jin’s performance, commenting, “It was such a great show. Jin was amazing on the piano, and it was a show that only Jin could pull off”. Following his successful ‘j-hope Tour ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE,’’ j-hope is scheduled to headline Lollapalooza Berlin on July 13 , a performance the members are “really looking forward to”.

With new music and a world tour on the horizon, 2026 is already being hailed as the year of BTS.
