On August 10 to 12, all roads lead to the World Trade Center for HISTORY Con 2018. Here are four reasons why you should be part of this year’s horde to check out this event.
The presence of a queen
For the first time in History Con Manila, Vikings’ Queen Lagertha, portrayed by Canadian actor Katheryn Winnick, will be attending the festivities. Katheryn has garnered several nominations for her role in the show.
I have been given a few minutes to interview her at the History Con, so please watch out for that.
Stellar Guests
Other than Katheryn Winnick, Ancient Aliens’ Giorgio Tsoukalos, Ride N’ Seek’s Jamie Dempsey, Who Runs the World’s Mongchin Yeoh, and HISTORY Hustle and Hidden Cities Extreme’s Simon Yun will be the convention’s guests this year. Local actors Xian Lim and Diego Loyzaga will also be there as representatives of the show Celebrity Car Wars, HISTORY Asia’s automotive reality series.
Merch galore
Don’t go to the event without extra cash because there will be booths upon booths of awesome things that you can buy. From stickers to memorabilia, vinyl records to toys, the HISTORY Con will have all of them.
Workshops and Exhibits
I was able to attend last year’s HISTORY Con and the exhibits inside the World Trade Center were enough reason to go since it always gets bigger and better every year. If you also have the time, try to sit-in on some of the workshops during the event.
