It was a rainy Friday morning, but I was off to the World Trade Center for the opening ceremonies of Asia’s biggest entertainment convention HISTORY Con 2018. The three-day convention promised to celebrate bigger milestones, bolder names, and better activities, which I personally think they accomplished. When I arrived at the venue, some media attendees were already setting up their cameras for the convention’s opening ceremonies led by A&E Networks Philippines’ Country Head Jacque Ruby.
HISTORY Con 2018 was graced by HISTORY Channel stars like Ancient Aliens’ Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, Ride N’ Seek’s Jaime Dempsey, and The History Hustle’s Simon Yin, who are all no strangers to the convention since this is not their first time to be part of it. I was mostly excited about the attendance of Vikings’ Katheryn Winnick a.k.a. Queen Lagertha since I do watch the show. It was her first time in Asia and has been in the Philippines days before the convention to spend a well-deserved r&r at the beautiful El Nido. Also present at the first day were local actors Xian Lim and Diego Loyzaga representing the all new season of Celebrity Car Wars and Singaporean personality Yeoh Mong Chin from the show Who Runs the World’s .
I had fun walking around the halls of the World Trade Center, checking out this year’s booths and displays.
