Last month, I made it through Saturday traffic at the Mega Fashion Hall to checkout the launch of Fujifilm’s latest camera, the X-T30.

The Little Giant¸ as what it’s called, the Fujifilm X-T30 is a light and chic powerhouse camera that produces awesome image quality. Equipped with amazing features such as a 425-point phase-detection AF system with approximately 100% Frame Coverage, Color Chrome effect and Sports Viewfinder, the Fujifilm X-T30 is the perfect companion for creative individuals with a passion for photography and videography. The epitome of balance between performance and style, this sleek camera takes your visual craft to the next level. It also has powerful video recording features. With its more advanced 4K/30P video functionality, it can record high resolution audio without requiring additional equipment and eye tracking functionality during video recording.
The Fujifilm X-T30 weighs only 333g (excluding accessories, battery and memory card), making it the perfect camera to take in all your adventures.
Actor/musician James Reid headed the introduction of said new camera and I caught up with the Fil-Australian talent to ask him about Careless music and taking photos.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO FOCUS ON YOUR MUSIC AND WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT CARELESS MUSIC THIS YEAR?
James Reid: Music has always been my passion before acting. It gives me a way to be more creative; it’s really personal so it’s really me. For Careless Music, we have been working on a new mixtape; a second Careless mixtape. We’re almost finished and it will be coming out in a couple of months.
WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE OF A CAMERA FOR YOU ASIDE FROM IT TAKING GOOD PHOTOS?
James: It should be instinctive; it should know what to do. It should be intuitive. And I also like a camera that fits well in your hands. It feels right. Some cameras can feel very chunky.
WHY DO YOU THINK PINOYS LIKE TO DOCUMENT EVERYTHING THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHS?
James: Because it’s like a diary, some people don’t hold diaries anymore, right? It’s easier to take a photo and post it and it’s all there for you. Us Filipinos are very friendly, everyone likes to share. That’s just how we are, I guess.
